[Source: NME.com] What's less rock'n'roll - admitting you'd never sleep with a groupie or that you've been working on new material with Snow Patrol?

To be honest, we're not sure - but what we do know is that Ed Sheeran's rock'n'roll credentials took another battering today (May 15).

Asked by gossip blogger Perez Hilton whether he'd take advantage of a groupie's advances, he bleated: ''I've always been in long term relationships for the whole of my life, so no," before continuing:

"[I'm] not so much [in a relationship] now because I'm kind of away, but we're not in any place long enough to do that, we leave after every gig. One day, one day. I think when I get a little bit older and settle into it a bit more, but I'm a newbie on the scene, I don't want to mess it up yet."

And as for his hook-up with Gary Lightbody and co, which has seen him recording tracks for the follow-up to his 2011 debut album '+', he commented: "I've done around 20 new songs for the new album and I've been writing a lot with the Snow Patrol boys as well…I knew them before so yeah, I was kind of friends with them, but I've written a song with them."

Of course, such a sensible approach is still paying dividends for Sheeran: last week (May 10) it was announced he was the most streamed artist of 2012, according to the Official Charts Company.
