Andy Sheppard, a fine tenor and soprano saxophonist, is heard here on an above-average fusion date. While
Sheppard's solos are good enough, his rhythm section is somewhat anonymous and the six originals (all but one being over nine minutes long) do little other than set up grooves for
Sheppard's fairly basic improvisations. Not a bad release but not all that memorable either. ~ Scott Yanow, Rovi
