A French singer/songwriter with a penchant for American alternative rock, Steeve Estatof was the winner of the second season of France's version of Pop Idol/American Idol called Nouvelle Star in 2004. Born in 1972 in Grenoble, Estatof wiled away the years working and playing in a number of bands before throwing in his lot with the television reality talent show in 2004. Winning was celebrated with a single release ("Garde-Moi"), and a solo Top 10 album, A L'Envers, both released in 2004. His second album, Le Poison Ideal, hit stores in 2008. ~ Chris True, Rovi
