This husband-wife duo has wrote and performed with many contemporary Christian artists. They met in 1978 when both were members of Truth. After marrying in 1980, they performed as a duo for a short while, until Dick became a musical director and Mel formed First Call. Both continued writing, however, and they won a Dove Song of the Year award in 1985 for Larnelle Harris's "How Excellent Is Thy Name."
