Taking the U.K. styles of garage and tech-house and adding a Dutch spin to them, DJ/producer Vato Gonzalez created a genre he called “Dirty House”. Born Björn Franken, Vato had been gigging across the Netherlands for over a decade when his Dirty House Mixtapes series began to break on video sharing sites around 2007.
