MOG Closure FAQs

1. What’s happening to MOG after 31 August 2015?
From 31 August 2015 the MOG service will no longer operate in Australia. This means existing subscribers to MOG will still have access to the service up to and including 31 August 2015.

The good news is we are offering our Telstra Post-Paid customers with a compatible iOS device a 12-month trial of Apple Music.

To redeem this offer simply go to My Account, visit any Telstra retail store, or call Telstra on 13 22 00.

Q2. Why is MOG closing?
Although MOG had already shut down in the United States, Telstra kept the MOG service running until now as we know music is important to you. The good news is we have a new service with the launch of Apple Music.

Q3. Can I use Apple Music on my Android phone?
Apple Music is available today on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and PC. Apple have announced that Apple Music will be coming to Apple TV and Android this Spring.


Q4. What will happen to my MOG subscription?
If you have an active MOG subscription you’ll still be able to access it until 31 August 2015 with no charge from 1 August 2015. After 31 August 2015 your MOG account will no longer be accessible.

Q5. Can I cancel my MOG subscription?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time.
To cancel, go to the My Account page > Cancel and then follow the prompts. Alternatively you can keep your MOG subscription active until 31 August 2015, with no charge from 1 August 2015.

Q6. What will happen to my music when MOG closes?
All access to the MOG library will no longer be available, including songs downloaded for offline playback, access to your playlists and access to MOG on your SONOS system from 31 August, 2015.

Q7. What will happen to the MOG App on my device when the service closes?
You will no longer be able to access music via the MOG app from 31 August 2015. You can remove / delete the MOG app from your mobile phone or tablet using the standard process for deleting apps specific to your device model.
