[source: NME.com] Jay-Z has denied rumours he is to leave the Def Jam label for Columbia Records. But the rapper did admit he understood why the rumours began. "My three-year contract is up soon… I guess Rick Rubin is there [at Columbia Records] and we've got a relationship. "But I haven't talked to Rick since he started at Columbia. I called him to say congratulations. But I've learned to leave the possibility open. Sometimes rumours spark real things." The rapper told Billboard he was not planning to make a new album following last year's "comeback" record, Kingdom Come.
