Having come out of retirement for last year's Kingdom Come, the rapper continues his comeback with American Gangster on Tuesday 6 November.

Inspired by the forthcoming film of the same name, Jay-Z insists the release is a collection of all-new material rather than a soundtrack and, according to a statement, is a "a musical journey and lyrical interpretation of snapshots from the upcoming motion picture".

The film features actors Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe and is based on the true story of 1970s criminal mastermind Frank Lucas.
