Snow Patrol keyboardist Tom Simpson may escape legal prosecution for cocaine possession after his arrest in July.
Simpson was due to appear in a Glasgow courtroom yesterday, but his case wasn't called, leading local media to believe the issue will be dropped.
According to lawyer Alistair Bonnington: "When a case is 'not called', that simply means that in the meantime the case is not proceeding. The Crown can re-raise it, but if nothing else happens, if the Crown doesn't bring it back to court on a separate occasion, then the case is at an end."
Simpson hasn't offered a statement about his legal woes.
