[source: NME.com] Britney Spears lost custody of her kids in a ruling by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott M. Gordon on Monday 1 October.

The singer was ordered to turn over custody of Jayden James (aged one) and Sean Preston (aged two) to ex-husband Kevin Federline by Wednesday 3 October. Federline will have sole custody "until further order of the court".

As previously reported, Federline's lawyer went to court alleging Spears was driving without a Californian license.

Last Friday, the court found Spears was a "habitual" user of drugs and she was ordered to attend counselling, meet with a parent coach and submit random drug tests twice a week.
