Guy Sebastian has finished work on his upcoming album of Stax covers, which he recorded in the legendary Ardent Studios in New York .

The LP was produced by Steve Cropper and features Donald "Duck" Dunn (a backbone of the Stax sound and, alongside Cropper, a member of Booker T & The MGs as well as The Blues Brothers).

The disc sees Guy take on classics like "Soul Man", "In The Midnight Hour", "Knock On Wood", "Dock Of The Bay" and "Hold On I'm Coming".

The Memphis Album, as it's titled, is currently being mixed, and is due out on Saturday 10 November.
