“Thriller” star Michael Jackson – currently at work on his upcoming ‘comeback’ CD, featuring the likes of Kanye West and will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas – is in more legal strife, with a court yesterday ordering him to pay AUS$198,000 in outstanding legal fees over his 2005 child molestation trial.
Sued by firm Ayscough & Marar earlier this year for failing to cough up for his legal fees (Jackson successfully beating all charges during the case), the “Bad” singer is actually happy with the judge’s decision, as he was originally facing a sum of AUS$508,000.
“We’re very happy with today’s outcome,” says Jacko’s current lawyer, Thomas Mundell – who’s hopefully on a better retainer system.
