U2 frontman Bono has recorded brand new demos for “Wave Of Sorrow”, a song taken from the out-takes of their 1987 hit The Joshua Tree.
According to Bono, who posted news of the new track on the band’s website yesterday, it’s “a song that was trying to describe experiences that myself and [his wife] Ali had when we were working in Ethiopia during the famine.”
A brand new version of The Joshua Tree is being released this month, to celebrate the LP’s twentieth anniversary. U2 are currently rumoured to be writing new songs for a Broadway musical, based on the character Spider-Man.
