For years now legendary US country crooner Dolly Parton has been approached by movie producers to film the story of her life – now, according to reports in the States – the “Jolene” singer is honing in on her lead star – none other than Lost In Translation actress Scarlett Johansson.
“Dolly is a huge fan of Scarlett and thinks she would be perfect for the role,” says a mysterious ‘source’. “She has approached Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes to see if they will produce the film. She’s really excited about the project, and is determined to have the very best people in town working on it.”
Dolly, meanwhile, reckons she knows what she’ll be remembered for once she’s passed away: “I can just see two big mountains growing up out of my grave, and people going around on mule rides to look at them,” she laughs. “Throughout my whole career, I’ve been known for two things - I’m talking about my music and my lyrics!”
