A new book set for release next month promises to reveal all about the rock & roll antics of legendary UK rockers The Who.

Written by the band’s former roadie, Tom Wright, Roadwork is a collection of photos and anecdotes that’s supported by Who guitarist Pete Townsend. “Much of my life that Tom describes will never appear in my own memoirs, simply because I don’t remember it,” he jokes in the book’s introduction.

Including stories about the band’s infamous drummer Keith Moon – who died of a drug overdose in 1978. “Keith took so much speed he never really got drunk, while everybody else needed stretches,” Wright remembers. “Keith stayed up all night, sprayed dry shampoo on his hair, rubbed it with a towel and looked good to go. You never knew if he’d been up all night or was actually showered or rested.”
