Currently in the tabloids thanks to a burgeoning love affair with R&B star Chris Brown, 20-year-old “Umbrella” singer Rihanna has revealed she has a brand new obsession – collecting rock & roll art.
The pop star (who was recently named as an honourary cultural ambassador to Barbados last week) says her new fave activity kicked off after she purchased a painting by Rolling Stones’ legend Ronnie Wood.
To celebrate her recent birthday (which was Wednesday 20 February), Robyn Rihanna Fenty snapped up a portrait of reggae singer Bob Marley.
“I’m not a big spender, but I do like to buy art,” she says.
“My favourite canvas is a Ronnie Wood one. He painted a portrait of Bob Marley and as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted it. It’s very rare that you get a painting of a legend painted by a legend, so I had to get it.”
