American blonde bombshell Jessica Simpson will be donning greens and heading off to Kuwait to entertain troops stationed overseas.

The 27-year-old “With You” singer says she’s keen to visit the Middle East, and will perform at a special concert on Monday 10 March alongside the Pussycat Dolls, Disturbed and Filter.

“I am heading to Kuwait to do a show for the troops, then back in the studio,” Simpson wrote on her website. “It’s truly an honour to perform for the troops. I get to serve my country by doing what I love to do in front of thousands of brave men in uniform. It’s every girl’s dream!”

Simpson is currently in the midst of working on a new country album, due out in mid 2008.
