Blonde bombshell/pop singer Jessica Simpson has a brand new project – recuperating from a hospital stay, the “A Public Affair” singer taken ill with a serious kidney infection. According to the 27-year-old’s representative, Simpson was released from Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center yesterday. “Jessica was in the hospital for five days with a kidney infection and is feeling better and out of the hospital,” the singer’s rep, Cindi Berger, told entertainment network E! News. Hospital staff, however, refused to comment on the singer’s illness. “I have no idea if she is here,” a hospital rep told news service Reuters, “and if I did I wouldn’t be able to release any information.”
