Rumours are circulating throughout the US that pop singer Ashlee Simpson – who recently announced her engagement to boyfriend Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy – is indeed pregnant.

And, according to the tabloids, not only is she with child but her manager/father, Joe, is offering photo shoot deals of his daughter to the highest bidder.

According the New York Post, ‘Papa Joe’ (as Joe Simpson is affectionately known) is trying to rake in the big bucks for his daughter by planning on snapping his own photos and selling them off.

“Joe is contacting all the weeklies and asking them to pony up US$1 million to put Ashlee on the cover,” the Page Six source claims.

The source says Joe is hoping to score some big dollars, but he’ll be lucky if he makes “$60,000”, says one editor. Wentz, meanwhile, is refusing to comment. “There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood. This is all news to me,” he told MTV News.
