After months of rumours, organisers of Byron Bay’s best festival – Splendour In The Grass – have finally revealed the first line-up for 2008’s event… and it’s a killer.

Coming to our shores for Splendour are the godfathers of post punk, Devo, alongside avant-garde Icelandic wonders Sigur Ros.

Joining them on the bill is are other internationals The Music, Vampire Weekend, Tricky, Cold War Kids, The Fratellis, MSTRKRFT, Laura Marling, The Wombats, Lightspeed Champion, Band Of Horses.

They’ll be joined by locals such as Wolfmother, The Living End, The Presets, Ben Lee, Pnau, The Vines, The Grates, Operator Please, Van She, The Panics, Gyroscope, The Brown Birds from Windy Hill, Scribe and The Gin Club.

Tickets are onsale Thursday 22 May.

Splendour takes place on Saturday 2 – Sunday 3 August.
