He shot to fame as the winner of 2003’s “Australian Idol”, and now “Angels Brought Me Here” crooner
Guy Sebastian has married his childhood sweetheart, Jules Egan.
The couple tied the knot on Saturday 17 May at the Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel in Manly – the same spot where Nicole Kidman did the deed with Keith Urban back in 2006.
Sebastian and Egan – both committed Christians – met more than 13 years ago at Adelaide’s Assemblies of God Paradise Community Church, when the singer was a mere 13-years-old.
Last year the couple admitted to New Idea that saving their virginity until marriage wasn’t easy. “Every bloke, including myself, is dying to have sex. Dying,” Sebastian said. “But it’s just a matter of controlling the physical and our faith.”
More than 200 guests attended the nuptials, including “Idol” judge Ian Dickson, Jennifer Hawkins and fellow Idol star
Shannon Noll.
Noll made his own headlines this weekend, admitting he rebelled against his father’s 2001 death by taking drugs and drinking, only quitting when his son, Cody, was born.
“I’d turned into a zombie on the lounge,” says the “What About Me” star of his marijuana phase.
