It’s all about the baby. That’s the word from pop star Ashlee Simpson, who’s busy nesting for the upcoming birth of her first child. The 23-year-old “Outta My Head” singer (wife to Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz) says she’s overcome with excitement about the impending birth. “We’re getting the nursery ready,” Ashlee confessed to a Canadian TV crew.

“I can’t wait to be a mum and he can’t wait to be a dad, so it’s fun. The baby is my main focus right now. We’re both so excited. I mean, this is definitely the happiest moment in my life. My mum and my grandmother have given me good motherly advice but it’s one of those things where your mother instincts kind of kick in right away.” Don’t expect Ashlee to reveal the child’s sex or name too early, however: “I don’t think it’s something we’ll decide until the baby comes,” she admitted.
