The organisers behind a mammoth exhibition featuring memorabilia by
Madonna have dismissed reports that they’ll display love letters written by the star. It’s the first exhibition of its kind for the 50-year-old diva, who’s currently in Europe on her Sticky & Sweet tour. Taking place from late February at the Old Truman Brewery in London, ‘Simply Madonna’ will display over 300 personal items belonging to the “4 Minutes” singer – including the pink dress from the “Material Girl” video, the wedding gown from her Like A Virgin tour, and the infamous gold conical bustier designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier.
The exhibit was reportedly set to contain 17 love letters to former boyfriend and bodyguard James Albright, allegedly signed ‘Spanky’ – but organisers have quashed rumours about their appearance, denying Madonna’s lawyers had been in touch to stop them going public. “They aren’t appearing and were never going to,” a spokesperson for the gallery added.
