It’s one of the hippest festivals on the planet, kicking off in 1999 – and now All Tomorrow Parties is coming to Australia.
Named after the famous Velvet Underground song and described by organisers as “the ultimate mixed tape”, each year the boutique festival is held at various locations across the globe, and curated by an invited artist or band (everyone from “The Simpson” creator Matt Groening to Sonic Youth).
For Australia, ATP have teamed up with local promoter Feel Presents and invited Aussie legends
Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds to headline and curate three events – held in Sydney (Cockatoo Island), Brisbane (Powerhouse) and Mt Buller in Victoria.
Already announced is:
the Saints (with original members Chris Bailey, Ivor Hay and Ed Kuepper),
Spiritualized, James ‘Blood’ Ulmer, Silver Apples, Fuck Buttons, Harmonia and Michael Gira, Laughing Clowns,
Robert Forster,
Bridezilla and The Necks.
The full line-up for ATP will be announced on Wednesday 5 November. Tickets go on sale on Monday 10 November. Head to atpfestival.com for info.
