Eddie Hatchett, the 39-year-old driver to US rapper/actor
Busta Rhymes, has reportedly been assaulted by the musician. Hatchett went to police last week claiming his boss (and Rhymes' associated bodyguards) attacked him on Tuesday December 26 after he attempted to recover unpaid wages. Hatchett launched an official complaint on the following day, stating the attack took place in Rhymes' office after Hatchett demanded payment for 19 days' work. "I don't know what set him off," Hatchett revealed to the New York Post in an interview. "I told him, 'I ain't scared of you'. "That's when his bodyguards grabbed me, and he punched and kicked me." The driver claims he was seeking the cash in order to buy a Christmas present for his daughter, as he was penniless. "For me to come out of my community like that and work for him days in a row – and nights – not seeing my family, and not getting paid, and for him to act like that… I'll never put myself in that position again," Hatchett said.
