Some of the most famous names in the music biz are celebrating today, after Democrat Senator Barack Obama was successful in his bid for the top job in the USA. Voted in as the next President of the United States, one of the politician’s most vocal supporters was over the moon.
“Are you as happy as I am? Let’s hear it for Obama. It’s the best day of my life,”
Madonna told the crowd during a concert at California’s Petco Park last night. The “4 Minutes” singer labelled the win as the “beginning of a whole new world”.
Madonna had previously gotten in trouble with Republican Party supporters, after she publicly banned Sarah Palin from attending any of her shows and included images of John McCain alongside Adolf Hitler in the video montages during her Sticky & Sweet tour.
A spokesperson for McCain’s campaign called the video “outrageous, unacceptable and crudely divisive all at the same time.”
