She might be one of the world’s most famous women, but Texan-born singer
Beyoncé Knowles is no diva. The Bootylicious star says she’s happy to avoid first class when she hits the airwaves, and often flies economy, despite being valued in the millions of dollars.
“Even now I sometimes fly economy if I need to. We had a storm in Miami and there was a hurricane coming so we just got out,” the 27-year-old singer/actress admits. “You know the airlines where if you’re fifth in line, you sit in seat five? And then they throw a peanut at you with your drink? I don’t care about those kind of things.”
The “Crazy In Love” singer, who is married to
Jay-Z, recently took a trip to Japan, where she was promoting her latest single “If I Were A Boy” alongside her sister, Solange. If you do see her on your flight, just be sure to leave the star alone. “It’s just that people don’t give me peace in economy,” Beyoncé joked, “that’s the hardest thing.” Beyonce is currently gearing up for the film Cadillac Days, in which she stars as Etta James.
