American singer Kid Rock (known to his folks as Robert James Ritchie) has hit the top of the charts with his latest LP, Rock N’ Roll Jesus – officially the fastest-selling album of his career so far.

Released back in October, the 37-year-old rocker says the success of his sixth LP has been the best revenge when it comes to the failure of his short-lived marriage to former “Baywatch” babe Pamela Anderson.

The “All Summer Long” musician married the blonde back in 2006, and filed for divorce five months later because of “irreconcilable differences”.

“My divorce made me look at my life and think of what I cared about,” Rock revealed to the Daily Mirror on the weekend.  “I love music and rather than go off the deep end with girls and drugs, I locked myself in the studio and made the best record I could. Success is the best revenge.”
