Brandon Flowers, frontman of Las Vegas outfit
The Killers, says he’s ready to become to biggest band in the world – and it’s about time.
The “Human” singer, whose fourth LP, Day & Age, was released last week, says the four-piece want to knock Irish legends
U2 off their rock ‘n roll perch, admitting he has a drive “bordering on obsession” to achieve his goal.
“U2 are unbelievable, but they’re getting old,” Flowers says. “It feels like it’s time. We wanna see where this will take us. It doesn’t make any sense to place restrictions. We write these songs as human beings, and they affect us, and we put them out there in the hope that they will affect other human beings, that they transcend any limitations.”
