Bernard Fanning can now add another trophy to his bulging mantle, already full of ARIA and APRA awards. The Phonographic Performance Company of Australia (PPCA) have revealed Fanning's "Wish You Well" single was the number one most broadcast recording of 2006. The song beat "Bad Day" by Canadian singer Daniel Powter and "Because Of You" by American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson to secure the top spot. Fifteen Aussie acts made it into the top 50, including Shannon Noll, Ben Lee, The Veronicas and Rogue Traders. International artists in the top ten included Rob Thomas, Robbie Williams, Madonna, The Black Eyed Peas, Nickelback and U2.
