[Source: NME.com] Kings Of Leon have taken home the Best International Album award at the BRIT Awards 2009.

It was the band's second award of the night, as they had already picked up the Best International Group gong. After being presented with the trophy by boxer Joe Calzaghe, a beaming Caleb Followill joked that it was England that made the band.

“If it weren't for England, Kings Of Leon wouldn't be a band right now,” he said. “You created Kings Of Leon, and good luck getting rid of us!”

The band then thanked their record company and family.

The full list of nominees in the Best International Album category was:

AC/DC – Black Ice

Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes

The Killers – Day & Age

Kings of Leon – Only By The Night

MGMT – Oracular Spectacular
