Headed to Australia to host the upcoming MTV Australia Awards on Friday 27 March, Fall Out Boy bassist/hubby to Ashlee Simpson, Pete Wentz, says he refuses to answer his front door when visitors come knocking. The “I Don’t Care” star says he’s convinced he could be murdered, admitting he’s so paranoid of becoming a victim of violence that he doesn’t want to take any chances.

“I refuse to answer my front door because I’m convinced someone is going to murder me,” admits the 29-year-old star, who previously admitted to being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. “I used to think that some day I’d end up murdering a close friend or relative. Now it’s reversed and I’m convinced it’s going to happen to me. That’s the way I’m going out, I’m completely sure of it. So I refuse to answer the front door it greatly minimises that risk.”
