She might be one of the world’s most famous performers, but staff at Vienna’s Albertina museum – one of the most visited and respected museums in Europe – aren’t too pleased with US singer Beyoncé Knowles.

According to reports out of Austria, the 27-year-old “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) star had promised to make an appearance at the museum this week, while in town on her I Am… tour. Instead, Beyoncé went shopping – and sent a ‘look-a-like’ double in her place, who was snapped with Albertina director Klaus Albrecht Schroeder.

“What a cheek,” Albertina spokeswoman Verena Dahlitz said, stating the museum would protest to the singer’s management. “We were a little doubtful yesterday, but weren’t really sure. It could have been her.”

Meanwhile, 20-year-old British singer Adele (aka Adele Adkins) is reportedly thrilled with the news that she’ll be teaming up with her idol for a brand new track. “Beyoncé loves Adele’s voice and her music, and Adele is really excited,” a source says. “She grew up listening to Destiny’s Child and they are still her favourite group. It’s her dream to record with Beyoncé.”
