Michael Jackson, Raymone Bain, has sued the “Thriller” star for AUS$58.6 million, saying she has “deep regret” over the move but has been forced to take legal actions.
Bain represented the troubled star throughout his 2005 trial for child molestation, of which he was acquitted, as well as various civil lawsuits. Now she says she wants him to cough up.
Despite admitting that Jackson was someone “whom I have greatly admired and respected”, Bain wants what’s hers. “Unfortunately, Mr Jackson has elected not to honour the financial obligations of our contractual relationship, despite my numerous attempts to amicably resolve this matter,” she says. “I am sincerely disappointed in Mr Jackson’s failure to honour his obligations.”
Jackson had reportedly agreed to pay Bain 10 percent of any deals he’d entered into with her involvement, but has refused to cough up. The singer recently announced a run of 50 comeback concerts in London, starting in July.
