Green Day – aka Billy Jo Armstrong, Tré Cool and Mike Dirnt – are heading down under.
With their eighth album, 21st Century Breakdown, released last month, the ‘American Idiot’ trio have announced they’ll return to Australia for the first time in four years. Debuting at number one in over 14 countries, the band’s latest release has already been certified platinum in Australia, and was described by American Rolling Stone magazine as “so masterful and confident it makes American Idiot seem like a warm-up.”

Green Day are, next to U2, the biggest rock band on the planet,” raved the Daily Telegraph. Determined to undermine scalpers and reward loyal fans, 300 general admission standing section tickets will be made available to fans who line up at designated outlets, tickets limited to a maximum of two per person.
