A 29-year-old Phoenix man, Michael Miller, has admitted he recited lyrics of Detroit rapper
Eminem (aka Marshall Mathers) as he brutally stabbed to death his wife and 10-year-old daughter.
According to police, the killer – whose four-year-old son survived, with 11 stab wounds – called 911 and said, “I just killed my family with a knife. All of them. All three of them.”
It’s not the first time
Eminem has had to deal with violent outcomes of people inciting his lyrics. Back in 2001, the “We Made You” star – who says he was inspired when writing his latest LP, Relapse, by reading the biographies of serial killers – was publicly criticised after 17-year-old David Hurcombe quoted the lyrics to “Rock Bottom” before throwing himself in front of a train. Representatives for the rapper have not released a statement about the latest incident.
