Source: NME.com] Coldplay are the latest band to appear in “The Simpsons”, following in the footsteps of Aerosmith and Michael Jackson, among others.

Chris Martin will play himself in the episode in which Coldplay perform a private show for Bart and Homer, after Homer wins a million dollars in the lottery.

Executive producer Al Jean told EW.com that the band are forced to halt the gig when Bart goes to the bathroom.

Eartha Kitt is among the other guests to appear on the upcoming season, having recorded her part before she died last year.
