Seattle rockers Modest Mouse, who hit the mainstream after 14 years together with 2007’s critically acclaimed We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, have released a brand new EP, titled No One’s First, And You’re Next.

The eight track disc includes six songs held over from the last two Modest Mouse albums, including two songs, “King Rat” and “I’ve Got It All (Most)” – b-sides that are no longer available. The Issac Brock-led outfit are about to embark on an American summer tour, and will return to the studio by year’s end to work on a brand new longplayer.

Before his untimely death in January 2008, Aussie actor Heath Ledger directed an animated video-clip (created by filmmaker Terry Gilliam) for “King Rat”, which the band say will be released sometime in the future.

The tracklisting for No One’s First, And You’re Next is: “Satellite Skins”, “Guilty Cocker Spaniels”, “Autumn Beds”, “The Whale Song”, “Perpetual Motion Machine”, “History Sticks To Your Feet”, “King Rat”, “I’ve Got It All (Most)”.
