You might be forgiven for thinking that he’d already been put to rest, but for the past six weeks the body of Michael Jackson has been temporarily interred at Forest Lawn Memorial-Park and Mortuary, located in the Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles. Investigators have kept the body under lock and key, with the Los Angeles coroner continuing their investigation into whether Jackson suffered from foul play.

Now, according to a source close to the family, the “Thriller” singer’s remains are set to be released for once and all to his family, who will likely bury the singer at the same locale. “Forest Lawn is the top choice – near Michael Jackson’s grandmother,” says a source close to the family. Revealing a private burial will happen “very soon”, the source says the Jacksons need to wait until all family members are back in California, with “siblings Tito and Janet and their father Joe Jackson” currently out of town.

It’s been revealed that Jackson’s doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, gave the singer benzodiazepines – multiple sedatives, along with a powerful anaesthetic, shortly before he died of cardiac arrest.
