After a successful stint joining the cast of US sitcom “Weeds”, “You Oughta Know” singer
Alanis Morissette has revealed her next project: a book.
According to the 35-year-old singer, who portrayed obstetrician Dr. Audra Kitson on hit the TV show, her debut book offering will be “non-linear”. “It’s about all the themes I obsess and pontificate over,” Morissette confessed to Rolling Stone. “All this sort of body-dysmorphia-spirit humour, travelogues, photographs, articles I’ve written in magazines with a lot of touching on health and detoxing and re-toxing and the importance of integrating it all.”
It’s not all words for the muso, however, with Morissette stating she’s also working on two new discs. “I have an idea for two records,” she says. “Usually two journals make a record and I have about 10 full right now. As soon as the book is finished I’ll dive into one of the two.”
Morissette’s last LP was 2008’s Flavors Of Entanglement.
