[Source: NME.com] Police are reviewing the investigation into the death of the Rolling Stones’ guitarist Brian Jones after the emergence of new evidence.
Detectives in Sussex are re-examining the case from 40 years ago after being handed relevant new documents, reports BBC News.
Jones was found dead, aged 27, in July 1969 at the bottom of a private swimming pool at Cotchford Farm in Hartfield, East Sussex. A verdict of death by misadventure was recorded at the time, although some fans have since claimed he was murdered.
A spokesperson for the police said it was too early to say whether a new investigation will be launched, but they will look at the “new papers”.
