They’re renowned for magical live shows and a weird and colourful history, but now Oklahoma City rockers the Flaming Lips have another controversial project in the works – a film clip for upcoming single “Watching The Planets”.

Calling out to fans via the internet for an audience is nothing new, but this morning lead singer Wayne Coyne asked fans of the “Do You Realize?” outfit to join them for a naked bike ride around a mountain in Portland, Oregon. “It’s going to look like some giant fur egg and the people on bicycles are gonna sort of be born and erupt out of this thing,”
Coyne said. Fair enough. “Just show up wearing clothes, please,” the missive stated.

The Lips’ twelfth album, Embryonic, is released next month.
