It appears Smashing Pumpkins creator Billy Corgan isn’t a fan of modern medicine. The bald, 42-year-old “1979” singer – who is currently working on a brand new project of 44 songs titled ‘Teargarden By Kaleidyscope’ – has urged fans to resist being vaccinated for swine flu.

“I am not a doctor, and I am in no way suggesting that you should follow any medical advice from me,” Corgan blogged yesterday, going on to espouse on various conspiracy theories as to why the US government is using the H1N1 virus to spread fear. Believing that the virus is man-made, Corgan says he won’t be getting a jab anytime soon.

“I for one will not be taking the vaccine. I do not trust those who make the vaccines, or the apparatus behind it all to push it on us thru fear,” Corgan says. “This is not judgment; it is a personal decision based on research, intuition, conversations with my doctor and my ‘family’. If the virus comes to take me Home, that is between me and the Lord.”

The Pumpkins singer also argues against an upcoming new law being voted for in the state of Massachusetts, which will require the vaccines become mandatory... and he’s not happy. “Soon, you won’t even have the choice to live OR die as you wish!”
