After heading across the globe on her ‘The Circus Starring:
Britney Spears’ world tour, American pop star and tabloid favourite
Britney Spears has finally landed in Australia for her first ever series of concerts.
The Louisiana raised 27-year-old singer – who’ll be joined by sons Sean and Jayden while down under, with ex-husband Kevin Federline also along for the ride – arrived in Sydney just after 6am yesterday, with her first show due to take place in Perth on Friday 6 November.
Seems Spears enjoyed the legendary long journey to Australia, the singer announcing on Twitter hours after her arrival: “Longest flight ever but we had a great time ... So excited to be here.”
With a cast of 44 dancers, magicians, clowns and acrobats, the Circus tour (celebrating her sixth album, Circus) kicked off back in March in New Orleans, and is the highest grossing tour of 2009 in the States. Spears will perform 15 shows while in Australia this month.
