UK songstress
Laura Marling, who’s currently touring Australia, is due to release her new album in the coming months. It’s called I Speak Because I Can, and comes on the heels of her breakthrough debut Alas I Cannot Swim.
Producer Ethan Johns, who’s worked on
Crowded House’s Time On Earth and
Kings Of Leon’s Because Of The Times, has collaborated with
Marling on the upcoming release. The “Ghosts” singer is one of the headliners for this year’s Sydney Festival, and plays The Famous Spiegeltent on Thursday 28 January. She’s accompanying that performance with other shows across the country, also touching down in Brisbane and Melbourne.
Marling is also known for her guest vocal appearance on the
Mystery Jets’ track “Young Love”.
