The recent Haiti benefit organised by George Clooney attracted an impressive array of music stars who offered unique performances to help the cause. While film director Steven Spielberg and actors Jack Nicholson and Julia Roberts sat on the phones taking donations, three concerts were performed in Los Angeles, New York and London. The telethon event dubbed “Hope For Haiti Now” was televised around the world but was only available in Australia to Pay TV subscribers via MTV.
Bruce Springsteen performed the emotional protest song, “We Shall Overcome”, while
Taylor Swift covered 90’s alternative rockers Better Than Ezra’s song “Breathless”.
Christina Aguilera debuted a new track “Lift Me Up” which is reportedly featured on her upcoming album, Bionic and
Madonna sung her hit “Like A Prayer”.
Justin Timberlake sat behind a piano to give his rendition of the Leonard Cohen classic, “Hallelujah.
Australian iTunes customers can buy the "Hope for Haiti Now" full-performance album, which is available for download for $13.99. According to iTunes, the record labels, artists and Apple will donate their share of the proceeds to Haiti relief funds managed by "Hope for Haiti Now" charities, including the Red Cross and
Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti foundation. Proceeds from the

Rihanna collaborative single, “Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour)” will go to Partners In Health.
