Perth rockers Gyroscope are about to release a brand new album, called Cohesion.
Recorded in Rockfield, a picturesque town in Wales, Cohesion came to life with the help of legendary producer Gil Norton, who has a strong rock career under his belt thanks to working with the likes of the Foo Fighters,Pixies, and Australia’s own Eskimo Joe (having helmed their latest album, Inshalla).
The new record follows on the heels of their 2008 release, Breed Obsession, which cemented their popularity and scored a number one spot on the ARIA albums chart.
The band are set to couple the album release with a national tour dubbed ‘Some Of The Places I Know’ – named after the song of the same name, which fans will be hearing on the airwaves from early February. The March tour takes in most major capital cities, while along the way they’ll also make a stop in Brisbane to headline (alongside US legends Dinosaur Jr) the Lost Weekend festival, which runs from Friday 5 March to Sunday 7 March. Tickets for the tour will be on sale Thursday 11 February.
To jump the queue and be eligible for pre-sale tickets and album pre order bundles, head to http://gyroscope.com.au before 5pm on Monday 1 February and sign up to the mailing list. Fans will receive an email containing the pre-sale details.
