[Source: NME.com] Michael Jackson's former doctor could have his medical license revoked while on trial for charges relating to the self-styled king of pop's death last June.

California attorney general Edmund Brown filed a petition against Conrad Murray on Tuesday 23 March, accusing him of "poor professional judgment and placing the life of a patient in jeopardy" in relation to his involvement with Jackson, reports BBC News.

Murray, 57, is currently facing charges of involuntary manslaughter, and faces four years in prison if convicted of killing Jackson. He pleaded not guilty to the charges last month.
Police say the drug Propofol was administered to Jackson before his death.

Murray is currently licensed to practice medicine in Nevada, California and Texas.
