Having conquered the Australian dance and pop charts with their last number one album, Apocalypso (which also earned them the 2008 ARIA for Album Of The Year), Sydney duo the Presets are venturing out into a brand new business: sunglasses.

The “Are You The One?” duo – Julian Hamilton and Kim Moyes – have announced they’re releasing a limited edition of individually numbered sunglasses, with three unisex styles on offer. Individually numbered and limited to 1,000, each style adopts the name of a classic Preset track: “The Girl & The Sea”, “My Peepers” (based on the chart-topper “My People”), and “Pretty Little Eyes”.

The cheekily-named “My Peepers” come in jet-gloss midnight black acetate, with dark grey lenses. “The Girl & the Sea” meanwhile includes handmade Mother of Pearl on the outer, with a dark chocolate tortoiseshell inner, and can be used for prescription lenses. The most costly model, “Pretty Little Eyes”, will set you back AUS$275 for silver titanium styling and mirror lenses.

Having non-stop across the world since Apocalypso’s release, the band are currently on a break, writing and coming up with ideas for their next longplayer. Moyes has recenrtly been offering up remixes via the band’s Twitter account.
