Potentially disappointing gossip magazines across the globe, Aussie pop icon Kylie Minogue – who releases her eleventh studio album, Aphrodite, on Monday 5 July – has hinted she might never tie the knot.
The diminutive 41-year-old, who is happily loved up with Spanish model Andres Velencoso Segura, says she won’t be becoming a ‘Mrs’ any time soon. “I’m in a very happy, romantic place and Andres is so level-headed and easygoing,” the “In My Arms” singer confessed to Britain’s Elle magazine. “It’s enjoyable. He’s a good socialiser – which is good for me, because I could easily do my work, which involves so many people, then go home and stay home. I’m so boring.”
“Who knows?” she continued. “It’s not on the cards now. Maybe it’s a path I’ll never go down. All I know is you can do worse than expect the unexpected.”
According to Minogue’s record label, her new disc (recorded with producer Stuart Price, who recently helmed the upcoming new LP by the Scissor Sisters) will see the singer celebrate “her dance-floor roots.” First single from the album will be “All The Lovers”. When news of the new record was unveiled several weeks ago, Minogue’s website crashed due to the high volume of visitors heading to the site to hear snippets of the new tune.
